EC: Members appointed to MDR/IVDR expert panels

In the second week of January, the European Commission (EC) published a list of members appointed to the MDR and IVDR expert panels. On 10 September 2019, the 12 expert panels were designated by the Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2019/1396.

They are to provide scientific, technical and clinical advice to the European Commission and its Medical Device Coordination Group (MDCG), as well as to member states, notified bodies and manufacturers.

The EC has not yet appointed chairs and vice-chairs, who together will form the coordination committee of the expert panels.

Another list contains the names of 129 qualified experts who have not been appointed as members of the expert panels but are available to the EC.
