Access Consortium: Recognition Arrangement in GMP Inspections
The Access Consortium is a collaborative initiative of like-minded, medium-sized regulators from Australia, Canada, Singapore, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
These authorities have mutually agreed to accept GMP inspection reports in lieu of another GMP inspection of their own, according to a statement published by the MHRA. The five authorities see mutual recognition as a highly effective tool to manage the increasing complexity in the manufacturing and supply chain of medicines in a timely manner. Other named benefits include a minimised burden on industry and the timely access to medicines.
