GMP is short for Good Manufacturing Practice. (cGMP = current Good Manufacturing Practice)
Registration
To log in to GMP-Verlag, please click on the icon at the top right next to the search bar. Here you can choose whether you want to log in with an existing customer account or register as a new customer. Please note that due to the website migration, all customer accounts created before December 2025 will no longer be available – please create a new account or contact our service team (service@gmp-publishing.com). If you are also unable to log in with the login details created after 11/2025, you can easily reset your password via the ‘Forgot password’ link. You will receive an email to the email address you have provided.
With your customer account, you can adjust your personal data, change payment methods and view an overview of your previous orders.
In future, you will also be able to access the knowledge portals via your customer account or with your customer account login details – stay tuned.
Your licence is valid and your login details are correct, but you still can't log in? Please check whether the time on your computer is set correctly automatically. Can you try using a different browser and/or a different computer?

Products / Online knowledge portals
An e-book from GMP-Verlag is a download that reproduces a print product in digital format. These are Microsoft Word and Excel files as well as files in PDF format.
To open PDFs, you need a PDF reader, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader, which can be downloaded free of charge from Adobe. With Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can highlight and comment on important passages in your e-book.
The online knowledge portals are databases that allow you to quickly and easily look up GMP knowledge online. The following online knowledge portals are currently available in English:
- GMP Compliance Adviser: The world's most comprehensive standard work on quality management in the pharmaceutical industry. This knowledge portal combines ongoing updates to global regulations with recommendations from our experts in this field. To the demo access

The GMP Compliance Adviser and the GMP:KnowHow Pharmaceutical Logistics (GDP) are available
- as a named user licence: 3-month subscription or annual subscription.
- as a corporate licence or in a business package: annual subscription.
We recommend using the latest version of a common browser for optimal use.
As Microsoft has discontinued support for older versions of Internet Explorer, you may experience display issues when opening the knowledge portals with this browser.
If you have access to an online knowledge portal, you will receive the GMP newsletter INSIDER via email, in which we will inform you of all changes. If you are not yet registered, you can register here:

- GMP Insider for GMP:KnowHow Pharmaceutical Logistics (GDP)
All you need is a valid email address and an internet connection. Our knowledge portals are compatible with the following browsers on your PC, tablet and smartphone:
- Firefox
- Chrome
- Microsoft Edge
- Internet Explorer 11 or higher (without compatibility view)
Licence models for knowledge portals
In this case, please let us know one month before the end of the subscription period which individuals' access should be extended. We will then add or delete the access rights for the employees and adjust the prices for the coming year accordingly.
In the case of an annual subscription, the full licence price for the knowledge portal is always charged for 12 months. Updates and enhancements to the knowledge portal are already included in the subscription price.
The subscription can be cancelled up to 4 weeks before the automatic renewal by simply sending a message to us. Please write to service@gmp-publishing.com.
GMP Chat
GMP Chat is the new AI-supported search of the GMP Compliance Adviser. Users of the knowledge portal have the opportunity to ask their questions in a chat. The AI only accesses the knowledge of the GMP Compliance Adviser and thus guarantees a qualitative and trustworthy answer to the question asked. For further research, the relevant chapters of the knowledge portal are cited as a source. (This distinguishes GMP Chat significantly from other freely accessible AI tools).
GMP Chat was developed exclusively for users of the GMP Compliance Adviser and is confidential: the questions remain in the protected space of the knowledge portal.
If you have not subscribed to the GMP Compliance Adviser but would like to test GMP Chat, you are welcome to register for a demo access.
GMP Chat can only be used by subscribers to the GMP Compliance Adviser. Access to GMP Chat is also possible as part of a demo account.
As a GMP Compliance Adviser user, you can click on the magnifying glass in the toolbar on the left-hand side of the knowledge portal. GMP Chat can be found there as an addition to the traditional search function.
Alternatively, you can go to the homepage of our knowledge portals. Here you will find a blue-coloured button for GMP Chat. If it is grey, this could be for the following reasons:
- You do not have a licence for GMP Compliance Adviser.
- You are using a company licence via your IP address. Further information on this can be found below under the question ‘My company has a corporate licence, what do I have to consider?’.
- Your browser settings prevent the display. Please delete the cache and cookies in your browser.

Some users of a corporate licence continue to log in to the GMP Compliance Adviser via their IP address. However, GMP Chat can only be used with a personal account.
You can create this as follows: When you log in via IP address, a pop-up appears, which you can use to create a personal account. If you have clicked on ‘Skip’ or ‘Do not show’ in the past, you will also find this form in your profile (menu on the left). Click on the blue ‘Create personal account’ button in the top right-hand corner and then complete the corresponding registration form.

Orders
E-books and downloads will only be activated by us after receipt of payment, as your right of withdrawal expires upon delivery of the download. If you would like to receive your product as quickly as possible, we recommend payment by credit card. This way, you will receive the download link immediately after completing your order via email to the email address you provided.
Please note that when purchasing an e-book or download, you must agree that your 14-day right of withdrawal expires upon commencement of the contract. This is because we would otherwise be unable to check whether the digital goods are being used unlawfully after withdrawal, as it is not possible to return them physically.
You have the right to withdraw from the purchase contract within 14 days of receiving the product. The right of withdrawal expires for the delivery of digital content that is not stored on a physical data carrier as soon as the download or streaming has begun. Similarly, there is no right of withdrawal for deliveries of audio or video recordings or opened computer software, for goods made individually for the consumer and for the delivery of newspapers, magazines or illustrated magazines (subscription contracts are excluded).
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must clearly inform us of your decision to withdraw from the purchase contract. You can use the sample withdrawal form provided on our website for this purpose. Normally, you bear the direct costs of returning the goods.

The email may have been blocked by a spam filter or similar. If in doubt, please check your security systems.
