All active ingredient manufacturers in the EU or EEA that are subject to regulatory supervision receive an EU GMP certificate after a successful GMP inspection. In addition, active ingredient manufacturers in third countries receive an EU GMP certificate if a European authority has carried out a successful inspection there.
