The main task of the Head of Production is to ensure that manufacturing operations are carried out in line with the written instructions and operating procedures (manufacturing instructions) that have been drawn up previously. Manufacturing must comply with the principles and guidelines of Good Manufacturing Practice (Article 46 f of Directive 2001/83/EC).
