PMDA Opens Office in the USA
The PMDA has established an office in Washington, D.C. This is the PMDA's second overseas office, following the establishment of the Asia office in Thailand in July.
As more and more innovative drugs are being developed by overseas start-ups (especially in the US), the PMDA sees a need for such drugs to be developed rapidly in Japan as well. To address this issue, the PMDA decided to establish the Washington office.
