 Martin W. Wesch, Professor and Doctor of Law

Dr Martin Wesch is a lawyer and co-founder of the law firm WESCH & BUCHENROTH in Stuttgart. The firm specialises in business and commercial law. From 1994 to 2011, he was Managing Director of the Gütegemeinschaft Pharmaverpackung e.V. (registered quality grading association for pharmaceutical packaging – dissolved).

He has lectured on labour law at the University of Stuttgart since 2002 and became an honorary professor there in 2022. From 2002 to 2012, he was head of the specialist group for packaging "APV Fachgruppe Verpackung" that was extended to form the "Fachgruppe Verpackung & Medizinprodukte" (specialist group for packaging and medical devices) for a limited period of time. In 2007, he received the Wallhäußer award conferred by Concept Heidelberg for his published work on the safety and quality of medicinal products. He is a member of the Advisory Board for the "pharmind" and "APV-news" journals and the author of numerous essays in books and journals.

Prof Dr Wesch Wesch studied Law, Philosophy, Modern History, Economics and Business Studies at the University of Tübingen. After receiving his PhD (New forms of industrial action) and undergoing practical training at the regional government in Dresden, he worked for law firms in the USA (Rochester/New York) and Australia (Sydney).

He was admitted to the bar of the Landgericht (Regional Court) in 1993 and to the bar of the Oberlandesgericht Stuttgart (Higher Regional Court) in 1998. He worked for two major law firms before founding WESCH & BUCHENROTH in 2001.
