Vera Werner, PhD

Vera Werner has been working at Novartis Pharma Produktions GmbH since 2015. She fulfilled the role of process expert in packaging here until the summer of 2021. During this time she has gained a lot of experience in all aspects of the packaging process. Especially the continuous development and adaptation to new regulatory requirements provided deep insights into various systems.

Subsequently, Vera Werner took over the management of QA Compliance at the site and is responsible for a wide spectrum of GMP compliance matters. Since September 2022, she has been Laboratory Manager for Starting Materials.

Vera Werner studied pharmacy at the University of Würzburg and subsequently received her PhD in pharmaceutical technology. She began her career in 2015 at Novartis Pharma Produktions GmbH in Wehr. Her position as a process expert in packaging is highly complex.

During this time she was able to gain experience in processes of quality assurance, process development, project management and in the area of drug counterfeit protection.

The focus is on technical expertise at the packaging lines and close cooperation with quality assurance to ensure the quality and release of the packaged medicinal products.
