Peter Schober, PhD

Peter Schober is Principal Consultant at gempex GmbH and advises clients in the life science industry in the areas of IT compliance, computer system validation and organisation.

After completing his PhD in chemistry in 1997 and a research stay in the USA, Peter Schober started his career in a medium-sized IT consultancy. In addition to Y2K compliance, he was responsible for application development in the areas of controlling, logistics, CRM and hospital information systems for a large life sciences company.

From 2005 he worked as a product manager and validation officer for a LIMS manufacturer. This was followed by positions as Head of Quality Assurance in the establishment of an in-vitro diagnostics start-up and as Senior Consultant for CSV projects for pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, organisation, process management and IT supplier auditing.

Peter Schober is a certified auditor for medical device software and an active author and speaker.

He is deputy chairman of the GAMP-DACH Special Interest Group "GAMP for Medical Devices".
