Torsten Knöpke

Torsten Knöpke is responsible for the newly established LifeSciences division at Ecolab Deutschland GmbH since 2016. LifeSciences focuses on hygiene concepts and solutions in the pharmaceutical industry in the area of cleaning and disinfection as well as cleaning technology and validation of processes.

As an expert for these topics he also gives lectures and provides training courses.

After studying chemistry and mathematics, Torsten Knöpke started at Ecolab Deutschland GmbH in 1996 in the development of cleaning concepts for pharmaceutical applications. In 2014, he became team leader of the Pharma Germany Division and the newly established LifeSciences Division in 2016. His field of activity includes consulting on hygiene in production with cleaning and disinfection concepts, their application technology, optimisation of processes and planning and implementation of cleaning validations. In addition, he conducts training courses and hygiene audits and is active as a speaker on the subject of cleaning technology.
