Ralf Gengenbach

Ralf Gengenbach founded gempex GmbH in 2002 as managing associate. Gempex GmbH is one of the leading GMP service companies with an international orientation today. The headquarter of gempex is Mannheim, further locations are Sisseln, Switzerland, and Guangzhou, China.

After studying chemical engineering at the Technical University of Karlsruhe, he began his professional career in 1987 at BASF AG in Ludwigshafen. His main activities were in the fields of manufacturing of active ingredients, technology as well as auditing and inspection.

In 1997, he joined DIS (Deutscher Industrie Service AG). There he established a specialist group on GMP, consulting and qualification with numerous consulting and implementation projects in Germany and abroad. He also founded the Quality Consult department as a separate branch within DIS AG.

Since the founding of gempex GmbH, Ralf Gengenbach has been active as Managing Director and consultant. In addition, he is active in various associations, for instance as president in the Verein Interessensgemeinschaft Pharmabau 3000 e.V. (VIP3000) and as Chairman of the Qualification & Validation Group of the European Compliance Academy (ECA).
