Which phases are distinguished in the performance qualification of a water supply system?

According to the EMA, the performance qualification (PQ) of a water supply system is divided into two phases: an initial phase and a long-term phase. According to the FDA Guide to Inspections of High Purity Water Systems, a distinction is even made between three phases. Phases I and II correspond to the initial phase.
